4 more weeks of school left then summer fun can start!! I can not wait to be able to spend every day with Kensley. We have so many things lined up so far.....swim lessons, gymnastics, play dates with our long lost friends! She has changed so much over the past few weeks. She is talking a whole lot more, pointing out air planes every time she sees one! It is so funny to hear her try to carry on a conversation with someone. She has also learned the word "mine" and "no" and she loves to use them all the time! It is so hard not to get mad at her when she tells us no, but its so darn cute! I'm sure in a few years I wont think its cute anymore. She also has grown a love for water. She has always liked her bath time but now she wants to play in the sprinkler or with the water hose all the time. Our neighbor set up his sprinkler last night and she had such a good time. It is so fun watching her play with the older kids. I bet she will love swim lessons. Kensley is also running which is too cute! She waddles and most of the time trips her self. Her hair is finally coming in too, but still only two teeth.
Mother's Day was this past Sunday and it was so nice. I am so lucky to be able to celebrate this day being the mom. Ryan took me to Red Lobster which is a huge deal because he is allergic to shell fish. I got the ultimate feast and ate every bit of it. Then we went and walked around Fire Wheel Town Square. It was nice to be alone...I felt kinda guilty because it was mother's day weekend but we were able to spend all day with Kensley on Sunday. I'll be sure to update in June once the fun has begun.....:)

Sunny Days
It's finally getting warm! I love the warm weather. It is so much to fun to take Kensley outside and play after school with all her neighborhood friends. She tries so hard to do what they do.
This past weekend I took 52 of my 7th graders to the Snake Farm and Sea World. We had such a good time. I have always wanted to go to the Snake Farm but never got the chance. They have so much more than just snakes! Sea World was great too. The trainers at Shamu stadium gave us a little show which was neat. The kids loved it. We had one girl get the stomach bug and was throwing up all night so I was not able to sleep because I was up with her all night.
Now on to Kensley...... Friday we are taking her to get her blood drawn to make sure her immune system is working properly. She keeps getting high fevers every two weeks. Dr Dhoot wants to check to make sure everything is ok. We thought about pulling her out of daycare but we have paid in advance so we would be out a lot of money. They are going to work with us when she is sick so that will be nice. It seems that she is out more than she is there!
8 more weeks till summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to put her in gymnastics and swim lessons this summer. The gymnastics class is a mommy and me class so it will be fun to be out there with her. Too bad I cant do anything any more because of my arm :(
Happy Aril Fools day!

Ok, so this time has been longer than the last... I'm trying to get back into the groove!
So i know....it has been a while. Julie told me I need to write more often so I am giving it another shot. We had a GREAT weekend. My best friend Julie and her husband Steven have been trying to adopt for a little over 6 months. They had a failed placement of a little boy 2 weeks ago and we were all so devastated. I can't even imagine the pain they were feeling. I had felt like a piece of my heart was ripped out. It was almost like a death. With many prayers God blessed Julie and Steven with a 6 week old baby girl on Friday February 26th. Chloe Marie Saal was placed into their arms and I don't think she will ever be let go! There is so much love in that family and so much joy that it brings tears to my eyes just watching them interact. They are complete. I can't wait to watch Chloe grow up and see the love her parents have for her. I really hope her and Kensley can become as close as Julie and I are and were growing up. Our childhood was the best. I hate that we live so far away from each other. It's hard being away from her because I feel like we grow a little bit apart, but I know as soon as we reconnect things are right back to where they belong. I love her so much :) and now little Chloe is here so we have so much more in common. Summers will be fun getting the girls together and hopefully in the future we can take little girl trips!

As far as Kensley goes......she is growing and learning so much. She started walking at 12months and is trying to run now. It is so cute. I love coming home from work and playing with her. She is a little person now! We play peek a boo and shape sorters together. She squeezes me when she doesn't want me to leave. I love when she holds on to me so tight so no one can take her away. Is it wrong that I long for the day when she crawls up in bed with us and snuggles next to me? It's like I can't get enough of her. She had tubes put in a few weeks ago and they seem to be working pretty well. I just hope this keeps the sick appointments down to a minimum.
Off to bed.....hopefully this stays updated!!

WOW! It's been forever
Gosh it's been so long since I have even looked at this thing! Kensley is now 10 months and we just had her first Halloween. She was a little strawberry and it was so cute. I will have to post some pictures. She has done so much over the last few months, she now stands with no support and is side stepping down the couch and any chairs she comes to. She is eating big girl food and does not really like to eat jar food anymore. She is just the cutest thing ever and it seems like everyday something new is happening. We took a little family vacation a few weeks ago to San Antonio and went to Sea World. We think she had fun! It was raining and cold but we had her all covered up snug as a bug! She was able to see dolphins, Shamu, and the penguins were her favorite. I love being able to watch her face light up when she gets excited over something. We have been taking lots of walks in the afternoon when we get home from work because the weather is so nice. She gets so excited when she sees her jogger and bounces and screams to get it in! She is just like me, loves to be outside. I can not believe she is almost a year old. It makes me sad that soon she will not want to be rocked to sleep or want to snuggle with mommy at night. Hopefully I can train her to think that all kids snuggle before they go to bed and that way she will not know any different! Pray for me there :) We got her a piggy bank the other day and we put her first dollar bill in it. We wrote the date and I wanted to video tape it but Ryan thought that was dumb.... I thought it was cute. Well hopefully I can keep this thing updated a little more often than I have been. Thanks for reading!!

The summer is slowly ending
Well I have two more weeks till I have to go back to work and Kensley starts daycare. It seems like just yesterday I was writing that summer was here. It was a good summer. We didnt go anywhere or do anything too special but it was fun to watch her learn and grow for a few months. Im going to miss that when school starts. Nothing new has happend in the last week. Still no crawling. She lifts up on all fours and is in a push-up position and its so cute. I have decided that the hand moving is her doing sign language! They finally finished the bridge over lake lewisville. We drove it last night from Frisco and it seems like it took longer than going the old way. It is nice to be able to get out of our neighborhood fast though. I'll post some pictures in the next few days

Sorry it's been so long!
So its been a while! I finally had my surgery on July 10th and let me tell you it was rough!!! I dont think i have felt that much pain ever. It was a lot worse than they thought and ended up removing 1.5in of bone! I have a 3in. battle scar. Recovery was hard. I still cant lift anything or turn things. It itches like crazy and my skin is so gross under the wrap. My parents came and stayed with me and Kensley went to Ryan's parents which was a huge blessing. They were all so much help! This week Belinda is staying with us because i still cant lift Kensley.
On the Kenlsey side of things I think she is about ready to start crawling. It could be any day now! She lifts on all fours and is starting to rock back and forth. She can move backwards and will go all over the place. I just cant believe she is already 7 months old. She still wont take a bottle so that might be a little hard when daycare comes around!
Here are some pictures that we took in July
